1. =====The Best Way ofTravelingPeople travel by plane, by train, by ship,by bus. To me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.My preference('pr??f??r??ns) depends on the purpose of the travel. On asummer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When Iuse my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills Ifeel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when Itravel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose myown route. I can stop where I like. And I can see things and people that Imight miss if I travel on a train or on a bus. When faster and more convenient ways fortravel are becoming available(??'vel??b), I still favor('fev??) using my own feet. I get much pleasurefrom it. 2.=========英语作文关于环境保护的 The world we live in is becoming more andmore intolerable (??n'tɑl??r??b )because of environmental destruction. First of all, the authorities(??'θ??r??t??) should adopt (??'dɑpt) the policy('pɑl??s??) of"sustainable(s??'sten??b!)development", and laws concerningenvironmental protection should be put into effect and enforced strictly justas our government has been doing. What' s more, every citizen(s??t??zn) should realizethe seriousness of the problem and make concerted efforts to protect ourenvironment. In addition, planting trees helps improve and beautify theenvironment.3.========= The Rainy Day 雨天The day is cold, and dark, and dreary; It rains, and the wind is never weary; The vine(va??n) still clings(kl????) to the moldering wall, But at every gust the dead leaves fall,And the day is dark and dreary. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped felt hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "Today my best friend slapped me in the face." They kept on walking until they found an oasis(??u'eisis), where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "Today my best friend saved my life." The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now you write on a stone. Why?" The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
